To know one’s self is harder than any level of learning. If one can find what he or she does not know, then he or she can start learning. That was my goal on this self assessment. I used the International Society for Technology in Education Standards for Coaches to assess my digital literacy skills. Using the following rubric, I was able to give myself a score of zero (0) to four (4) of my skills. Where a level four skill level meant that I had enough understanding to be proficient at teaching the skill to others.
Based on this rubric and my self evaluation, I created this video as a self-reflection of my digital literacy skills. As always, I feel I have a lot to learn about instructional technology coaching. In the same mind, I know I have a lot to offer to my teachers and administration on integrating and effectively using technology in education.
